A vacancy is being advertised for a Health & Safety Officer within the Waste Strategy and Operations Group of Caerphilly County Borough Council.
This exciting opportunity would entail development and compliance issues such as Health and Safety policies, processes and procedures, training reviews and implementation, in addition to providing advice and guidance to employees and managers within the Council thus ensuring that the section meets health and safety legislative requirements.
The role links in with the development of Caerphilly Waste and Recycling Strategy and will contribute to transformation of the Waste Service providing high-quality, cost-effective services across a wide range of waste management functions (e.g. Waste Collections, Street Cleansing, Household Recycling Centres, Waste Treatment and Waste Transfer) and increase Household Recycling Centres recycling performance whilst contributing to the achievement of Welsh Government and European targets.
The successful applicant would be expected to collate, record, control and develop accurate and compliant data information.
Candidates would require a NEBOSH Certificate/NVQ Level 3 in OSH or equivalent Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
